Services & Fees
‘We are, in the deepest sense, responsible for ourselves . We are, as Satre put it, the authors of ourselves.Through the accretion of our choices, our actions, and our failures to act, we ultimately design ourselves’ – Irvin D.Yalom
I do not underestimate how the first steps of deciding to see a therapist can sometimes feel a little overwhelming. I offer a free 30 minute Initial Consultation in order for us to meet and explore your expectations of therapy. I can explain the service I provide in greater detail and answer any questions you may have. Aditionally, you can outline the issues which concern you and I can assess whether I can give you appropriate support. The Initial Consultation allows us the time to decide whether we are in mutual agreement to work together, and to agree on the terms of therapy; such as the frequency of sessions and time you would like to attend.
During these extraordianary times of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic, you may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, isolated, frightened and a multitude of other complex emotions. I provide support and a confidential space to explore your feelings and potential coping strategies.
I currently offer fac to face, online (via Zoom) or telephone consultations.
I offer a safe and confidential environment for you to consider your real feelings, you are encouraged to express yourself freely without the pressure of worrying about causing friends or family to feel anxious or concerned. Sometimes it can be really hard to tell your innermost thoughts and feelings to those who are closest to you, and this may cause you to feel lonely, isolated and misunderstood.
My counselling practice is conveniently located in Southfields, with easy access from Clapham, Earlsfield, Putney, Wandsworth, and Wimbledon. My consultation room is less than a 5 minute walk from Southfields underground station (District & Circle line) and bus routes 156, 493, and 39.
It is my usual practice to see couples separately for 1 session each after the first joint session in order to gain insight into each individuals’ distress within the relationship.
VIEW THERAPY AS AN INVESTMENT IN YOURSELF
Personal therapy can be a journey of enlightenment and personal discovery. You will not be given answers and immediate solutions, and it’s not my role to tell you what to do or give you advice. However I will provide guidance, compassion, and support for you to consider your choices and options, and your personal dilemmas. We will work towards the common goal of gaining greater clarity with regard to your life situation and increase your general sense of well-being and self-esteem. Therapy provides you with the space and time for personal reflection and expolration, in our ever increasing, frantic world. It can increase your confidence and encourage a more positive outlook on life.
